Before your transplant, we will request photos of the treatment area and donor area to assess your unique case and plan your procedure effectively. You’ll also have a video consultation with your surgeon to discuss your goals, medical history, and any concerns. Once you arrive, a final in-person assessment will be conducted to confirm the hairline or beard design and ensure every detail is tailored to your expectations. You will also receive clear pre-operative instructions to follow in the days leading up to your procedure. Hair or beard transplants are typically performed under local anesthesia to ensure comfort while keeping you awake. The procedure can last between 4-8 hours, depending on the number of grafts needed. Your surgeon will carefully extract hair follicles from the donor area (typically the back of the scalp) using either the FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction) or DHI (Direct Hair Implantation) method. These follicles are then implanted into the treatment area with precision to achieve a natural look and optimal density. Post-surgery, you’ll receive detailed aftercare instructions, including how to care for the donor and transplanted areas. It’s normal to experience mild swelling, redness, and scabbing in the treatment area, which will subside within a few days. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled to monitor your progress and ensure the grafts are taking root properly. Most patients can resume light activities within 2-3 days, but full healing and noticeable results take time. The transplanted hair may shed initially, but new growth typically begins within 3-4 months. Final results are usually visible within 8-12 months, revealing a fuller, natural look.
