A butt lift is performed under general anesthesia to ensure your comfort throughout the surgery. The procedure typically lasts 2-3 hours, depending on the extent of the lift. If a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) is being performed, the surgeon will use liposuction to remove excess fat from areas like the abdomen, thighs, or back. The fat is then purified and carefully injected into the buttocks to enhance volume and create a natural, contoured appearance. For surgical lifts, excess skin may be removed, and the underlying tissues tightened to achieve a lifted look. Post-surgery, rest is crucial to ensure proper healing. You will be given detailed aftercare instructions, including how to care for the treated area and any limitations on sitting or lying directly on the buttocks for a few weeks. Swelling and bruising are normal and will subside over time. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled to monitor your recovery and ensure optimal results.
